Located in Vains-Saint-Léonard, Grouin du Sud is a rocky promontory offering an exceptional panoramic view of the entire bay. A privileged viewpoint for sunrises, with Mont Saint-Michel silhouetted against the reddening dawn sky. The distance allows integrating the entire bay into the composition, showing the relationship between the Mont, the polders, wetlands and the sea horizon. Access via a coastal path (GR223) about 20 minutes from the parking lot. Breathtaking view also of Tombelaine islet and the salt meadow sheep grazing in the bay.

The ultimate photographic experience: a guided crossing of Mont Saint-Michel bay during spring tides. Departing from Bec d'Andaine or Genêts with a mandatory professional guide for a unique approach to the Mont through quicksands, rivers and salt meadows. This total immersion allows capturing perspectives impossible from the mainland: the Mont seen at water level, reflections in the bay's rivers, sand textures during the receding tide. A privileged moment to photograph the tidal bore and the rising tide gradually encircling the Mont. Requires good physical condition and waterproof boots.
