A unique peninsula surrounded by translucent waters and golden light at the end of the day.

A unique peninsula surrounded by translucent waters and golden light at the end of the day.
The Giens Peninsula is a fascinating playground for landscape photographers. Connected to the mainland by two sand tombolos unique in Europe, it offers an exceptional variety of viewpoints: rocky coves, beaches with crystal-clear waters, wind-swept pines, and golden southern light.
Chargement de la carte...
Madrague Beach: On the eastern side of the peninsula, this beach offers calm and crystal-clear waters at sunrise. The pastel tones of early morning reflect on the perfectly smooth water, creating soft and contemplative atmospheres. Ideal for minimalist compositions with umbrella pines in silhouette.
Pointe des Chevaliers: Coastal trail with stunning views over rocky coves and turquoise water. The wave-sculpted rocks offer spectacular textured foregrounds. A circular polarizer is essential to reveal sandy bottoms and control reflections.
L'Almanarre Beach: Legendary kitesurfing spot on the western tombolo, facing the sunset. The colorful sails of kitesurfers create dynamic subjects against a golden light backdrop. Favor slightly windy days to capture action and water transparencies.
Coastal Path at Cap Nègre: Coastal hike offering panoramas of the Hyères islands (Porquerolles, Port-Cros). Maritime pines twisted by the mistral structure compositions and add depth. Late afternoon light recommended.
Salin des Pesquiers: Former salt marsh turned ornithological reserve, with ponds of changing colors depending on light and presence of pink flamingos. Unique aerial perspective with reflections and geometry of basins. Telephoto recommended for wildlife.
Seaside restaurant at La Madrague, Mediterranean cuisine with fresh fish of the day and panoramic views of the bay.
At La Madrague port, waterfront terrace, bouillabaisse specialties and grilled fish.
At Tour Fondue, relaxed atmosphere, seafood platters and Provence rosé facing boats to Porquerolles.
The Giens Peninsula offers a great diversity of water and land activities. Between coastal hikes, water sports and exploration of neighboring islands, each activity reveals unique photographic perspectives.
